Kingfisher Designs
Based on my reputation as a designer at Fox Racing, the client approached me for product designs and walked away with much more. Having successfully designed a product for his burgeoning fly fishing company, the client requested that I design his graphic identity as well. As I pride myself on providing a one-stop-design-shop, I was eager to take on the task.
Logotype Studies
Given the evocative name, the concepts came quickly. The obvious solution would have been a stylized version of the bird of the same name, but obvious is not always desirable. In this case, the product is specifically for fishing, and has nothing to do with avian pursuits. Using royal iconography and the subject matter at hand, I worked to create a logo that used a crown and fish elements in both the positive and negative space.
